Mr. Seth Aning is the Managing Director of the company who leads the strategic development of the company’s business and the overall growth strategy of FirstBanC. He has more than fifteen (15) years business and finance experience having worked with several international organizations in Ghana and also in West Africa.
Prior to joining FirstBanC Financial Services Limited, Seth was the Philips Capital Manager (a subsidiary of Royal Philips) responsible for twenty-two (22) countries across West and Central Africa. In this role, he was responsible for driving Philips customer financing strategy across West Africa. He is credited with structuring the first Philips Capital ECA-backed facility in the West Africa and several other finance transactions for clients in the sub-region.
Seth also worked in various positions in Operations and Risk Management in Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited and has rich experience in Corporate and Commercial Lending.
Seth worked as a Data Analyst for ADRA Ghana, an International NGO, for the USAID-sponsored Title II Food Security program from 2002 to 2004.
Seth holds an MBA from the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, Economics and Mathematics from the University of Ghana. He has also completed Level 2 of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program.
In 2011 Seth was awarded the Emerging Leaders Fellowship by the Danida Fellowship Center, Denmark.
