Mr. Amenyo Setordzie is the Managing Director of the company who leads the strategic development of the company’s business and the overall growth strategy of FirstBanC. He has several years of experience in financial advisory services in Ghana and beyond.
Until his appointment, he was the Executive Director of Strategic Debt Solutions Limited. He has worked with UMB Investment Holdings Limited (UMB-IHL) as the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining UMB-IHL, he was the Chief Executive Officer of EGAS Capital Limited, in charge of the overall strategic and operational directions of the Company. His role also encompassed deal origination and execution, structured finance and corporate restructuring.
Mr. Setordzie worked with African Management Services Company (AMSCO) in the Johannesburg Office, as a Project Officer and later as Senior Project Officer for about six (6) years, where he was in charge of business development in South Africa, Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo and he worked with several companies located in this Region.
AMSCO was a project set up by the United Nations Development Programme, African Development Bank and the International Finance Corporation (a member of the World Bank Group). He also worked with Agence Française de Développement/PROPARCO and Merchant Bank Ghana Limited as Investment Officer and Deputy Manager respectively. Other institutions Mr. Setordzie had previously worked for include the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ernst and Young and Pannell Kerr Forster.
He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA in Finance and BSc Administration (Banking and Finance Option) from the University of Ghana. He holds a certificate in Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis from John Deutsch International, Queen's University, Canada and Professional Project Management from the George Washington University Business School.
Pearl Mingle is the Executive Director responsible for the Finance and Administration functions of the company. She joined the Board of Directors in January 2016. Prior to that she was the Financial Controller and was earlier responsible for the Internal Audit function of the company.
Pearl is a Chartered Accountant (ICA Ghana) with over fourteen years of post qualification experience in senior audit and finance roles in the manufacturing, media and financial services industries. Prior to joining FirstBanC Financial Services Ltd., she was the Head, Internal Audit for Multimedia Group Ltd. where she successfully led the audit and process improvement of various business units across radio, television and online platforms. She was also Head of Finance for Leasafric Ghana Ltd. Pearl also holds an MBA from the Delta International University in the USA.
Gordon P D Dery is the Head of Marketing in charge of promoting the business of FirstBanC through the Marketing Department’s strategy. He leads the company’s efforts to generate its core investment business. Prior to joining FirstBanC, he worked with Eximguaranty Company Ghana Limited as Head of Marketing, Research & Product Development where he led the company’s business development efforts and marketing strategy to expand Exim’s business across the country.
He has vast business acumen having worked with Fidelity Bank as a Relationship Manager in the Corporate Banking Department, where he managed a portfolio of corporate clients. He has also taught at the Regent University College of Science & Technology and Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA), Ghana.
Mr Dery holds an MBA in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM, UK). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast. He is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) serving on the Building Project Committee and a full member of the Global Marketing Network. He has over twenty years national and international working experience gained through various work places, conferences and workshops in marketing, management, leadership, customer relationship, credit appraisal and other business related courses from several professional institutions.
Winslow Sackeyfio is the Head of Corporate Finance charged with advising sectors, with regards to developing strategies for acquisition, corporate reorganising/restructuring, valuation, IPOs as well as debt and equity financing on the capital market. He is also the fund manager of Heritage Fund. He is responsible for managing the fund's investment and ensuring that its strategy is aligned with its goals.
He oversees the Analysts in the department and spearheads the media outreach program of the firm with numerous appearances on radio and television to talk about financial markets and investments. He also serves as the Vice chairman of the Investment and Risk Management Committee of the company. He has written a lot of articles on investment related topics which have been published in financial newspapers.
Before FirstBanC, Winslow worked for over six years as a Regulatory Officer at the Food and Drugs Board and has conducted over hundred quality audits in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities both locally and internationally. Winslow holds a B. Pharm degree in Pharmacy and an Executive MBA in Banking and Finance from the Paris Graduate School of Management. He is currently a level 3 candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
Alex is the Head of Asset Management. He is responsible for managing and monitoring Asset Management's investment portfolio. He leads in developing the asset allocation levels aimed at creating a balanced portfolio of investments. Prior to his current position, Alex was responsible for the entire portfolio accounting function of the FirstBanC Asset Management. He also maintained the database for all client transactions, which is aimed at accurately accounting for deposits and withdrawals made by clients. Again, he ensures that income distributions made to clients' are accurate.
Alex has been with FirstBanC since 2009, initially working as an SME Advisor before joining the Asset Management Department in June 2010. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Sociology from the University of Cape Coast and an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University, India. Before joining FirstBanC, Alex worked as a Project Officer at Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) where he played a key role in the development of the SME Charter in Ghana.
As the Acting Head of the Pensions Department, Eunice Agyeiwah Agyepong is in charge of devising and implementing strategies for business retention and growth. Eunice also leads the Pensions Team in the management of investment portfolios of various pension schemes and in pension-related consultancy projects such as the Administration of the Temporary Pension Fund Account held at Bank of Ghana. Aside her current roles in the Pensions Department, she is also responsible for media related activities of FirstBanC where she provides investment education to the public on radio.
Eunice has a wealth of experience and expertise in the design of investment portfolios, fund management and administration. She joined FirstBanC in 2012 as a Senior Portfolio Analyst where she played a pivotal role in the development of the operational framework for the management of the Pensions department. Eunice was also responsible for the construction, active management and fund valuation activities of the Pensions investment portfolio. She rose to the position of the Deputy Manager in 2014 where she supervised the operational and investment activities of the department.
Prior to joining FirstBanC, Eunice worked in Ghana Home Loans Ltd as a mortgage Analyst in charge of closing mortgage deals. Eunice holds an MSc degree in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland and a BSc degree in Administration (Banking and Finance Option) from the University of Ghana Business School. She also holds an investment representative license from the Ghana Stock Exchange.
Edem is the Head of Brokerage at FirstBanC Brokerage Services Limited and Chairman of the Risk management Committee. Licensed by SEC as a Dealer’s Representative and the Ghana Stock Exchange as an Authorized Dealing Officer since 2005, he comes with vast experience in the stock brokerage industry in Ghana. His responsibilities have included; trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange, Financial Analysis, Portfolio management, investment advisory services and research. He has taught in various investment seminars and currently lectures Securities trading and investment advisory techniques in the Ghana Securities Industry Course organized by the Ghana Stock Exchange.
Prior to joining FirstBanC, Edem worked with; Capital Alliance Company Limited, NTHC Limited and HFC Investment Services limited where he acquired further experience as a mutual Fund administrator. Edem graduated from the university of Ghana business school with a BSc. Administration degree in Finance and recently earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime. He has undertaken capital market courses with UNITAR and the GSE Securities Industry courses.
